We started small. Just me and a truck, showing up for people the way I’d want someone to show up for my family. Clean, honest, respectful, and willing to explain things without pressure. Amy stepped in alongside me, keeping things organized, supporting the business, and helping guide our vision.
As Colossus Plumbing has grown, we’ve stayed grounded in what matters most: relationships, not transactions. Whether it’s a clogged drain or a complex repipe, our goal is to serve with care and humility. No one here is just a customer. You’re a neighbor, a fellow parent, a homeowner doing your best, just like us.

A Journey That Shaped Us
This isn’t just a career path. It’s part of our story, shaped by real challenges and an even deeper sense of purpose. I (Austin) have gone through two open heart surgeries, and together, Amy and I have experienced the pain of losing loved ones far too soon. Each of those moments came with a powerful reminder that life is short, fragile, and incredibly precious.
Going through those life-altering experiences changed us in ways we never saw coming. When you’re faced with moments that shake your foundation, whether it’s lying in a hospital bed, grieving the loss of someone you love, or realizing just how fragile life really is, it shifts something in you. We came out of those seasons with more than just scars. We came out with a fire. A deeper drive to live with purpose, to love harder, to slow down, and to make every day count.
Plumbing had always been something I was good at, but after those life changing experiences, it became something more. It became a way to rebuild my life with purpose. A way to serve. A way to connect. A way to give everything I’ve got... not just to the job, but to the people I meet because of it.
Amy and I looked at our life and asked some hard questions: What do we really want? What matters most? We realized we wanted more than just stability. We wanted freedom. We wanted time. Real time with our kids, our friends, and each other. We wanted to give back to our community, not just financially, but with our time, energy, and knowledge. We wanted to build something that our kids could look at someday and say, “That mattered.”
Starting Colossus Plumbing wasn’t just a business decision. It was a personal mission. Every home we step into is a chance to make someone’s day easier. Every leak we fix, every system we install, every conversation we have with a customer is an opportunity to show up with heart and integrity. We don’t take that lightly.
We also know how overwhelming plumbing issues can be, especially when you don’t know who to trust or how serious the problem is. That’s why we take the time to explain what’s going on, walk homeowners through their options, and make sure they feel confident in every decision. No pressure. No gimmicks. Just real help from people who care.
Colossus Plumbing is more than a service company. It’s a reflection of the life we’ve fought for; one built on resilience, family, and the belief that even the smallest acts of care can make a big difference. Life Outside the Wrench

When we’re not fixing pipes or running the business, we’re just a regular family who loves getting out, making memories, and soaking up the good stuff in life.
We spend a lot of time outside, especially around water. Give us a mountain lake, some paddleboards, and a cooler full of snacks, and we’re happy. Camping trips, bonfires, and just being off-grid with family and friends — that’s our kind of reset.
We’re also big into movies, music, and anything creative. We like working with 3D printers, going to concerts, and playing around with instruments at home. Sometimes it’s loud, sometimes it’s messy, but it’s always a good time.
